I'm happy for him to leave. Don't think he'll fit in with the 4-3-3 as a starter or the 4-5-1 unless we're playing for knock downs chasing a game. So for right money i 'd let him go. Agree £3 million and we've had our pants pulled down. That said look at Iain Hume.
Don't get our fans giving it toney is garbage ect. He is no kieffer moore but people still think its 2015 from when we had a 19 year old toney who still scored some important goals for us.
when when Morsey was on loan with us, I was told on good authority that he was on £36,000 per week of which Barnsley were paying £4000..so little chance of signing him on a permanent!!
There is no way in the world that Morsy who signed for Wigan from Chesterfield was on anywhere near 36k,
No chance the board would sell for that. Maybe with under 12 months on his contract and he doesn't want to sign another. But as it stands Ithink the board are very well aware that 3 million would be laughed at, double it and there is an argument providing it all goes into replacement. As for Toney.... No words on that one apart from not championship quality.
I honestly cant see wigan paying anyone 36k a week they might pay more than us but 36k if it's true they will be in trouble soon I don't think their receiving parachute payments and they are the 2nd best supported side in wigan behind the rugby team.
Morsy signed for Wigan from Chesterfield in the summer of 2016, the same summer Wigan were promoted to the championship and Chesterfield were relegated to League two. You don't have to be informed to realise that a newly promoted team from league one isn't going to give that kind of wages to a player who had joined from a relegated team and spent his career in the lower two divisions.
We were signing him after his loan spell so no way was he going to give £36k a week up to sign for us . The only reason we didn’t sign him is someone messed up with the details which left Wigan the option of keeping him.
No he wasn’t he was on £5,000 a week. When he was going to sign for we offered him £7,000 what a load of all tosh.
