    For months, the transfer of Manuel Maranda from FC Wacker Innsbruck to FC Barnsley was considered fixed.

    But the fans are still waiting for an enforcement report. Neither the Austrian nor the English second division confirmed the transfer.

    There is also a reason for this: According to LAOLA1 , the change to the dispute between the parties involved, which culminated in a lawsuit in the English FA (Football Association) and also FIFA .

    The charge: Barnsley has broken the contract. All contracts were signed by the championship club, by FC Wacker and also by Maranda himself, but ultimately never been registered by Barnsley.

    The owner should have had a spontaneous change of mind, for unknown reason, this should have been mad at Wacker Innsbruck and accordingly have blown off the deal.

    No comment from Wacker
    The citizens of Innsbruck can not comment on this subject due to the ongoing legal process.

    "We can not say anything about the transfer issue around Manuel Maranda right now, but the fact is that we are currently working on a quick clarification, and as soon as there is valid news, we will comment on it," the association said in an official statement to LAOLA1 .

    So there is a large claim for damages on Barnsley, from the legal side, the transfer was nothing to complain about.

    Maranda has to wait
    Of course, Maranda is suffering the whole story.Until the transfer dispute is settled in court, the 22-year-old center-back sits between the chairs and is not allowed to play any games.

    The 14-time junior team player joined last summer after the end of his contract with Admira to the second team of FC Wacker, but there could recommend quickly with strong performances for the Bundesliga team.

    Even before the relegation of the Tyrolean was determined in the second league , was considered his transfer to FC Barnsley , who had earned him a whopping salary increase and FC Wacker a six-figure transfer fee, as sealed.

    Now it is time to wait until FIFA clarifies this transfer dispute.

    Strange one. Must be more to it - late medical report highlight an issue?

    I have faith that the club have done the right thing for BFC, regardless of how it was done. Sometimes shitty decisions have to be made for the best.
