    So why’s he a Wendy?

I don’t disagree with everything he said mind - but I think the centre halves will be fine, Cavare isn’t a left back and I’m not 100% sure he’s a championship right back, but he’d be a better bet than the current starter I fear. Sibbick might develop, there’s something there, but looks no better at the moment than either Williams - and I’d play neither of them either.

Sibbick was ok against a misfiring Fulham, surprisingly good. But today wasn’t just a poor performance in my view, he just looked devoid of any idea as to how to play at full back against a wide player who stayed up and stayed wide. He wasn’t alone in a poor game, but he was the standout I’m afraid.

Pinillos when fit to left back and Cavare to right back may improve it. Oduor might be an option but he’s never played in Mister’s football other than one cup appearance.

I’d say we possibly ought to consider three at the back and wing backs to tighten defensively - but we’ve too many wingers and not enough centre backs in the squad to make that realistic, and to be fair I’m not about to say we ought to tear it up and start again after one defeat anyway. They deserve a chance to learn and improve, and I trust in the coach - but it remains to be seen how quickly the players adjust, some might not be able to.

We can’t keep leaving our wings so exposed - last season it was fine as Pinnock & Lindsey had the quality to cope with players who weren’t as good as they are. Weds worked out straight away to target our RB and pump a long ball up and they got numerous success from it.

    Judge it after 10 games.

We get too carried away with the highs and the lows - last week everyone was brilliant, this week were all poor.

I reckon we'll have about 13 or 14 points after 10 games- but we'll have to see.

Edit: and don't listen to a word any Wednesday fan ever says. Whenever we play them it's always "you're a decent side, had a bit of possession, but the quality told in the end and we deserved the win. Plenty of huffing and puffing but no end product. Da nose"

From what I’ve seen of Wednesday comments.... there are a couple patronising little old Barnsley. There are quite a few saying we had poor support, lack of numbers, noise, etc... but Wednesday fans judge a teams success on how many fans there are. And don’t realise we sold out the allocation.

There are a few with some rubbish predictable attempts at humour. And a really small minority that did make me smile.
