Going to be some coppers in trouble for being so heavy handed. Disgusting behaviour that only results in the crowd getting incited. They are going to have to find themselves some good lawyers.

Do you honestly think he will be prosecuted

    Corrupt set of *******

He will probably get away with some additional training

Looks like a tug of war contest between Villa fans and the police, using a bloke as the rope.

The old guy being battered by the batton unable to defend himself you see better here in his claret shirt in the bottom left around the 20 second mark.....

The guy looks between 50-60 and is celebrating a goal that wasn't given for his club that he's probably watched for 40+ years. A couple of those in charge come towards him and he puts his hands up probably in panic at it all kicking off. They come over to him and one goes all Lomochenko on him throwing numerous lefts and rights in quick succession. It doesn't look good at all the build up the original post of him topless over a wall.

I like to see all the evidence and not just a few clips before I make a judgement.

Unfortunately when it comes to a situation involving the Police and some football fans my first reaction is to support the Police.

Is that before or after the villa fans tried to invade the pitch and battered the stewards..

All I saw were about thirty villa fans up for it and two cops going in to try and restore order. Don't know what led up to it so like somebody else said we would need a full clip. It also looks like a lad in white shirt gave a cop a sidewinder punch. Too few cops in grounds these days and stewards are no substitute

Can’t see the issue here - as usual blown out of proportion.

Cops trying restore order and getting hit. The guy being dragged out is resisting arrest - situations like that, you’re better just going out, it’s a crime in itself to resist arrest. Whether you’re innocent or not.

It’s just the mindless few fans that spoil it for the rest..... it doesn’t take much to look at them and see.

Yup. There’s always the exception, but when you’re getting smacked around the head for doing your job and have wife and kids to go back home for, you do well to keep your cool to any degree.

London Met.. You are guilty no matter your innocence.. Baton first ask questions later... Thugs in uniform the majority of them.... I remember only too well the miners strike... The local coppers played holy hell with them... Comments from local coppers... of they don't give a flying F..U.. UK.. how or what they do.. they forget we are the ones who have to pick up the pieces and police the area long after theyve caused the trouble and gone...
Nothing changes after all these years.. Ive witnessed it at first hand whilst attending games in the capital and away from football too... The majority have an aggressive attitude and vent it often... Then use the power of the law to justify their actions... Worse police force in the UK in my opinion I get the impression that the majority are wanna be... 60s sweeny...
