Interesting, Lincoln City agreed a million compensation for them to talk to Cowleys. Guessing they turned em down
.a step too far for them I reckon. Get Lincoln into the championship and playing and theyll ve inundated with offers.
Thing with the Cowleys is like DS you just get the feeling they belong. With them it’s much more than on the pitch and what they do in the community etc. Living in Lincoln I’ve seen the turn round from struggling with 4K attendance to near sold out most games(like Barnsley they have to have spaces in the stands). The feel good factor around the town created by the clubs successes over last 3 years is also clear to see
Interesting appointment given the recent revelations about his transfer dealings with agent James Featherstone. I believe Middlebrough are conducting an internal investigation into all transfers while Monk was in charge. https://www.gazettelive.co.uk/sport...dlesbrough-to-review-transfers-under-16463788
Perhaps Cowley saw what happened to Paul Hurst at Ipswich and what is happening to Nathan Jones at Stoke. Both left high flying clubs for "better things", but the moves backfired badly. Perhaps Daniel should take note - one step forward, two steps back.
Depends how they approach it imo . Financially potentially set for life if they fail . But if they are successful even better things await . Career wise if they pick the wrong club could set them back years as to further future offers but they’re last job would probably come back as Eddie Howe with Bournemouth .
More clubs than tiger woods that bloke. No one puts up with him for long. Tells it all for me. Still cant believe we dint turn up against them other week...
I fear it might be a short lived appointment. I have just seen his interview on Sky - not once did he refer to them as massive. Garry, what were you thinking about.
