That supposedly highly successful business people see fit to handle the communications of a Championship football club by themselves? Especially at such a sensitive and critical time with emotions running high among fans and behind the scenes at the club? I know we have a strong media department, but as far as I'm aware we haven't hired anybody with a solid comms background or brought in an agency. If we had there is not a chance that statement is going out like that this morning. Who are these people? Are they what they say they are?
I would bet you my last pound that the media department budget hasnt increased to something akin to championship standards either in terms equipment, staffing, travel etc yet expected to retain the same level of quality. So hiring a PR guru isnt going to happen.
You don't need to be a PR guru to see that the club's statement comes over as cruel and insensitive. Perhaps they just don't care. Feel sorry for the BFC media staff having to post it.
I wonder if the club's statement was written by someone with a less than fluent command of English? I don't believe that any of our media team would have written that. I would have dropped my trousers and walked out before writing something like that.
Seconded. No way to treat anyone especially someone who gave us such memorable times last season. Its the Boards fault for this unholy mess not Daniel Stendels and we fans know that to be a fact. Absolutely disgusted.
