Came home to find ar lass tearing her hair out. Received a summons from transport for London for a penalty charge, (stopped on a red route). Looked at the photo and her car(registration the same) has become a diesel, rather than the petrol one we bought, also my wife has morfed in to a burly black lad. She has proof of parking in Birmingham at roughly the same time. Long story shortish, we have to report a crime to Warwickshire police so they can give us a crime number. Reported but no crime number as yet. Today another ticket from streatham high road, first one was Balham high road. Any advice on how to put an end greatly appreciated.

Without a crime number we can't do anything it would seem.

Report to the police and contest the charges. Especially if she can prove everything.

It’s clear that someone is driving round on fake plates. Happened to a work colleague but fortunately for him the police nicked the culprit for another offence. Not sure you can do much other than discuss it with the police

Unfortunately all you can do is chase the Police. Even then you will continue to get tickets and each time you will have to supply details.
Company I worked at had number plates nicked over night in London and Police told us be ready for tickets etc, nearly 2 years it went on and just petered out.
