Former Ajax forward Deabeas Owusu-Sekyere is having a trial with Barnsley ahead of a potential move according to Football Insider. The 19-year-old is available as a free agent after leaving Portuguese side Leixoes earlier this summer and is hoping to earn himself a deal with the Yorkshire side. It is believed that Owusu-Sekyere has made a big impression during his trial and could win himself a contract with the Championship side as they look to steer away from the relegation zone following a run that has included just one win in their first 11 league games.
He looks like "one for the future" shall we say.....not going to effect our chances this season either way.
Any more forward options may be good, as it appears Schmidt is made of glass. Agree re the age issue, but anything is better than nothing at this stage maybe...
No matter how crap the first team is we should all definitely get upset if we are still looking to improve the U23’s.
3 goals in 3 years according to transfer market been a free transfer twice already at 20 years old mmmmmmm is the spreadsheet broken ???????
They’ll be putting a case forrad for junior nets being erected soon and the pitch being made half the size, ffs!
One for the u23s, very highly thought of. Will be developed to play out on the wing rather than up top.
