Just interviewed people in Barnsley and basically all supported Brexit. They were mostly all older people. I asked the wife why she thought they didn’t interview any young people. She felt it was because younger people would be working and that Brexiteers are predominantly older and retired. I do wonder though if it is just another example of apparent BBC bias. On the other hand I may be the town’s only Remainer!
The BBC are pro-brexit?: no way. I don't get it with the bbc, the left call it out and so do the right. Always thought it was fairly centrist myself. (From a fellow remoaner )
The BBC as an organization - probably not. Elements of the BBC - such as Question Time - definitely (how many times has Farage appeared compared to other pro-EU MEPs?) - and politics shows. Even the news headlines often show pro-leave bias.
Fairish points. Farage is seen as a viewer puller though, although i'd suggest that this is as much in the hope that he would say something terribly wrong.
It pains me to say it but I think the BBC It should be. But watch Channel 4 news and note the difference.
Question time is the biggest pile of remainer rubbish on tv. The panel is always weighted heavily for their salty tears.
No they didn't, because they would be embarrassed if they admitted their reasons in public, that or they don't really know why. In a taxi 2 weeks ago going to the hospital and the driver was 'prattling' on about once Brexit it is done we'll stop all these foreigners coming here 'tekin' ar jobs and ar benefits'. I said we're going to the hospital where a large number of the clinicians aren't British, So when you become a doctor who's going to drive your taxi? The rest of the journey was in silence.
I’m an old codger and I think Brexit is the biggest waste of time and money in the history of parliament. Just another way to give the Tory party more power to punish working people and fill their fat pockets.
