Just a idea. Not sure if its a stupid one or if its too late but why dont we do it? Instead of having fans who go now see if any ex season ticket holders who have sadly passed away if theres any family members who have photos and put those in the crowd? Just a idea
I would give the club a good £20-£25 to stick a cardboard cutout of me in my seat. I don't know why they haven't done it - it's printing money. I think the item itself only costs about a tenner to make. In fact - I am still on furlough. I'll go put them in the seats myself, for free, if the club will let me.
Seems daft they haven't followed other clubs down this avenue. Charge 20 quid for your photo on a cut out to put on your seat, get 1 player of your choosing to sign the back of it and when the season is over you can get it sent to you or go pick it up.
The Championship contenders have vowed to “ensure there are no more offensive images”, and yet they allow all those cut-outs of people in Leeds shirts.
Seriously, other clubs have taken measures to make the stadium look like ‘Home’. We did nothing and it showed. On TV those ‘ Investment Room ‘ Boards in front of the East Stand with the paint peeling were embarrassing and other advertising looked ‘aged’ compared to the revolving electronic advertising all other clubs in out league seem to have as ‘normal’ #Non league
Leeds sold 15,000. If they made a tenner on each that's £150,000 in the coffers. We appear to have done nothing; not even put those huge flags that get waved about before kickoff on the seats.
We did have the sprinkers on though, so it was like normal Oakwell Back to the cut outs look at this...... Whilst we've Leeds trying to be clever with a Bin Laden cut out, it's a lovely gesture for anyone to buy one of a loved one no longer here. I am sure plenty of our fans who for example no longer have their dad with them would love the idea of a cut out of them popped on a seat.
I was a bit shocked to see that even though there hasn't been a match for nearly 4 months and there's no prospect of fans for months to come the dividing betting was still stretched across the seats looking tacky
It's to raise money for clubs and like it or not the grounds do (IMO) look a bit better in these circumstances. Leeds have sold over 15,000 including Osma Bin Laden.
