As we know, the first goal is so important, as if you score, then your opponent has to come forward, leaving space in their half for you to exploit. Once Stoke went two up, they had no incentive to push forward and pulled so many men back. Hence no way through for us. You cannot slowly pass your way through when it's so crowded. We really have to go at Luton from the off on Tuesday, take the initiative. Easy to say, I know.
We just simply can't go out against luton....like we did today. The lacklustre, lethargic attitude stood out from the off. Genrally mowatt sets the tone in midfield and for maybe the 2nd time this season (there maybe more) he was off. No urgency in movement , our passing and our attitude. We were beaten (deservedly) by a poor team who exerted their game on us, without really breaking sweat....it was that easy. As pleased as i was with our blackburn performance and our tactics (2nd half) im equally dissapointed with our sh@t show today.
