Well how come there's a league table which shows that since he took over we wouldn't be in the bottom 3 if he'd started from scratch? And that's not including the fact that he's taken over someone else's team, deep in the **** to kick off with?
Cant say as though I have seen any lack of effort all season myself, lack of quality yes. These games needed for Struber to be inventive do something out of the ordinary, changes need to be made and given time to work not 5 mins or 10 mins. Back to front is slow build up when pace is required. Walton gets the ball and is looking square to give to defender and then finishes having to kick it which he could have done in the first place, meanwhile the oppos are back in position, shape organised, players marked up. They come knowing what to expect and we play along with the same script.
When he took over we were 23rd. We're now 24th. You can feed me the PPG stats all you like, but the only stat that matters is league position. You'll get no rational argument from me tonight. I've finished with him. He's a boring, defensive manager with one idea. And if that goes wrong he's got no Plan B. Sack him.
Struber has to carry the can today. He persists in playing our leading goalscorer out of position. I lost count of the times our attack broke down when Woodrow received the ball in the final third. He left it far too late to bring on Halme. He persists with poor players week in, week out, yet only now - when it's too late - does he give Styles a full 90 minutes. Our set-pieces are dreadful. That's a coaching issue. Our ball retention is dreadful. That's a coaching issue. Our decision making is dreadful. That's a coaching issue. Our formation is questionable to say the least. Playing a right footed fullback on the wrong side of the pitch, says it all for me.
Chaplin and Woodrow have been embarrassing of late. Chaplin missed a great chance against Luton and as you say was awful in possession today. Some of them have given up.
Imho he suffers from favouritism, lack of tactical knowledge. I'll probably get slated for this but we have a creative player in mike bahre who cant get a look in consistently and he continues to select ritzmaier, who has been piss poor for so many games. So many of our players look out of form atm because they are being played out of position, he continually puts schimdt on as sub which is mind boggling to most of us. Sometimes the coach has to admit hes been wrong about certain things, he should not have left the halme substitution so late, sorry for the rant
Even the players from last relegation cared enough to hold a meeting away from the manager instead of giving up .
Well you bring lots of things up there. Firstly Woodrow is out of form - he had a couple of chances today and did nowt. He is a striker but needs help. We sold Moore. Woodrow is pants further down the field - I agree. Halme - as I have said, should have been on as soonas they were down to 10 men. He only has poor players to work with. Styles was crap today, but was played out of position. Agreed set pieces are woeful. Mowatt used to be good for Leeds - don't know why he can't deliver now Ball retention - Brown is awful with his first touch. But the rest of them - they're either footballers or they aren't - you can't coach that. Decision making - they're either fotballers or they aren't - you can't coach it. Formation - that's beyond me Williams at left back - absolutely ridiculous unless Oduour has done something wrong - I thought he was our best player in a few games.
I disagree that those things can't be coached. If we can't develop young players in those two areas, which are key in my opinion, then why are we buying young players in the first place?
