I completely agree. I don't mind us having youth in the side, even youth with bags of potential but little experience but there has to be a balance. We need some experience, a couple of older and wiser heads in the team to play alongside the young lads.
When I made my original point it wasn't under the guise of 'let's buy all the experience', just that we sold some of the only experience we had. It can work, but it's a huge gamble and it didn't pay off for us this year. I just would have liked to have kept one player in Pinnock if possible, and I feel it wouldn't have been drastically out of our financial comfort zone (especially if we didn't bring in as much deadwood as we did). It's just about having a bit of balance, and I think the board messed up that balance. I'd like to think they'll learn every season, but I've not been massively impressed. I'll stick with them, but so far it's a 5/10 from me
Fair response that, I agree, five or six points in that period from August to Christmas at the very least you’d imagine.
But our fans label Brentford as 'the' way to be, the ideal club. £100,000,000+ debt. 5,500 season ticket holders. Stadium sold, money back to the owner. New stadium sold to developers, money back to the owner. Club leasing new stadium. I watch them with interest, and certainly will over the next few years. If the owner is happy to keep at it, and they make it to the Prem, maybe the club and its fanbase will be fine for years and years to come. Strange though innit? But as you've just alluded to, if BFC were doing this, there'd be fúcking uproar. If we dare to get rid of Timerider there'd be uproar. Could be Wednesday fans, paying £600 for season tickets, £40 on the day, owner racking up debt, name plastered all over the seats, 21 point deduction incoming.

Yeah absolutely and then some, just really pointing out it’s not necessarily just about experience as he has shown and to an extent Moore.
