Easily said than showing it like we did. Although his goal against derby was with a few of his fee lol
I will never forgive Morgan or indeed BBC Radio Sheffield for the bias they showed against Barnsley at that time. ........ “we know Chris Morgan and he wouldn’t do something as deliberate as that”. Those of us that saw the incident knew that he did - he looked over and waited for Hume before caving his skull in. We were made a laughing stock because of the Hume incident - because our then owner didn’t take the matter to court. Which is chalk and cheese to the new owners who are threatening court action even before a decision about Wigan has been made.
He said nothing bad about the club at all. He was being honest that he didn’t want to join, nothing wrong with that and that he considers it a mistake, given what happened to him and what happened to Leicester and their takeover.
My memory of him is that he looked one of the sharpest strikers we’ve had, could get his shots off quickly and would always seem to make himself a chance, never thought he didn’t try. His injury was a real shame as I thought before that he could have gone on to be one of our strikers we looked back on very favourabley.
He worked his ******** off for us, he didn't want to leave Leicester but he was a model professional for us. I still pray I'd drop on Morgan in public, cos what he did can't be left alone. Even if that day is in in 30 years time. End of the day it was assault.
One thing I did pick up on though, and I think Chris Brown did too, was how aggressive Hume could be. There were a few recounts of times when the red mist descended. That's in no way saying he deserved what he got, before anyone thinks that's where I'm going. But there was a level of hypocrisy there, flying into tackles to hurt players who had embarrassed teammates.
Onto dean windass now...totally recommend this show i thought he did contradict himself, seems like it would have been all forgotten had Morgan apologised
I've been going through some of the older ones recently. I listened to Alan Rogers yesterday, and it's probably the funniest one in my opinion. He really doesn't like Gary Megson.
Yeah I agree about Iain Hume. He definitely contradicted himself. I like Chris Brown, he does seem to point out the contradictions. He didn't pander to Leon Knight either.
One or two worth a listen working my way around ex barnsley at minute Andy Johnson funniest so far hes nuts and the one with mark crossley is worth a listen
