I agree, suppose what I'm trying to get through is the fact that money isn't everything. What I mean is that if your'e content with life, happy & comfortable, would you go into the unknown if you were offered more money? Not having a pop at anyone, if that's what they want fair do's.

I wasn't bothered about him going to Wednesday, and it was his agent that leaked the deal on the day of Rimmo's funeral. I don't even blame him for his over the top celebration when he scored against us the year after.

But it came out at the time that he did everything he could to get a move away in that window, and came across as a bit of a ****. Particularly when Conor Hourihane was still a model pro to the end, at the same time.

If he's fit, once he gets going, I can see him doing well at Oxford. I fancied them to do well anyway. Incredible work rate, fantastic finisher. If he gets the support, he'll get 20 goals this season. Best striker we've had since the Bruce Dyer/Ashley Ward era.

We just don’t like it cos he left us for the pigs. Everything else is just justifying this.

 

I didnt like how he and his agent leaked all the pictures on the day of rimmos funeral. His agent had that move sorted well before the window opened and he told the club he didnt want to play for us again. His last game blackpool in the cup I went with 3400 others freezing cold january in the f.a cup and we played terrible 90 minutes I'll never get back, all the other players applauded the fans at the end bar winnall.

He was a good player for us no doubt about that, his attitude was poor at times I remember him angrily blasting the ball into the east stand in anger which was unprofessional, running half the pitch at guiseley to have a go at another player, kicking off with pitch invaders and rumour has it he was a nightmare at the club towards the end.

 

Players have bad games. Agents are a blight on the game. We still don’t like it cos he left us for the piggies.

 

Maybe some dont, on a personal view of my own that isnt the reason I dont care very much for winnall. I dont blame him for leaving either like you say anyone would times your wages by 4 guaranteed for 3 years. If he hadnt done his ACL on loan at derby, derby county would have signed him and I think he would still be a championship player.

 

Could have stayed and had a career ending injury the week after.

 

Got to agree on this. He showed no class at all signing on day of rimmos funeral and when he came back to oakwell he goaded us when he scored. It's a no from me, he follows a line of strikers including David Hirst who took the first offer from a very badly run club in haste and came to repent at leisure as to how their career had unravelled. Sam, you could have been a contender.....instead you sold your soul for a schilling

I don’t get the hate for him signing the day of Rimmo’s funeral. I don’t for a second think he did it on purpose, so what’s the problem? You can’t expect all business to stop. Rimmo was an absolute legend and it’s classy from the club to want to delay the announcement, but you can’t expect Winnall to delay his business with another club. As for his agent leaking the photo, it is what it is.

People just don’t like that he signed for Wednesday, in my opinion.

 

I’ll be honest. I can’t stand the man because he went to that club at a time when we were doing really well.

Listening to their fans who don’t go games telling me they’re stole Barnsley’s best player in history. Remember telling them all numerous times that Sam Winnall wouldn’t score goals without Conor Hourihane they signed the wrong player. To which I was also told Barry Bannan was twice the player of Conor and Winnall will get more playing with him.

Horrible club, horrible fans, horrible player!

 

Because if he had anything about him, Winnall would have made it clear to his agent that he didn’t want it leaking etc, again I think that shows Winnalls lack of respect for BFC. He knew full well what he was doing.

 

Oh please. You’re acting like he released a statement telling Rimmo to **** off.

The agent shouldn’t have leaked the photo, but it’s no worse for the agent to do that on that day than any other agent that’s leaked a photo for any club.

 

I like him...he's one of the reasons The Cheats are in the s..t.

 

Excited at the prospect of European football I imagine.

 

He dedicated his goal and pointing to the sky with Rimmo in mind on the Sat. Following week he signs for a rival team and his agent accidentally leaks a photo on the day said Barnsley legends funeral is going on. Yeah whatever.

Anyways the great news is that he’s never coming back to wear a reds shirt.

 

Never rekindle his form with us. The injury he suffered put pay to that. We need better going forward imho.
