For services to vulnerable children. Must admit I'm pleased for the lad, but given he publicly humiliated Boris and it's the PM who has recommended him for the award, I do wonder what the politics behind it are. Distracting headline? Showing 'we care'?
Saw something today which showed be was the most trolled premier League footballer on twitter. Sad f***ing times.
Well deserved, but I hope he tells them to shove it on the basis that it was a disgrace that he needed to do anything in the first place.
Is it the PM who recommended him? The PM signs off the list, but anyone can nominate somebody for a gong.
Love the way he is with the kids on social media. Obviously we're re lucky at Barnsley in that if our kids love a particular player(s) it's easy to get photos/ autographs etc. But obviously very different at a bigger club. But he always seems to write/tweet to individual children eg.
He comes across as a very grounded lad, appreciates what he has given where he’s come from. His mate Jesse Lingard could learn a bit from him about class and humility, Rashford is much younger but much more mature. Well deserved award. I sincerely hope he doesn’t refuse it.
Shame imo he accepted an award from the same institutions that wanted to starve kids in the first place. He didn't need it, he had the admiration of everyone as it was. Hey ho.
What's Lingard done to suggest he lacks class and humility? I'm not saying he's a saint like, but genuinely curious as to what he's supposedly done wrong.
https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www....sse-lingard-video-message-doesnt-16890435.amp He’s done a few things like this. Rashford was in Miami with him - but you didn’t see him posting crass videos. You don’t catch him showing off about how rich he is. Lingard has and does.
I've watched the video and I have to disagree. He comes across as a bit silly but it's hardly crass. Don't even understand why it would be considered newsworthy.
