So did I. When you think that they used to play clubs and small venues it seems a bit bizarre that they played Sheffield City Hall.
This is a serious case of onemanupship here... I bet none of you were at Wembley for the 1972 Rock n Roll show when the Feelgoods supported Heinz were you? Wilko - with long hair trademarking walking up & down the stage - as was Sparko as well
Yep memories, saw them, saw Wilko after they (split) and seen feel good with no Wilko ( not so good). Anyway you’ve inspired me I’m down by the jetty, will move on from there.
Hope you’ve watched the documentary the ecstasy of Wilko Johnson? If not treat yourself. Gripping viewing not just for feel good fans
Educational, emotional, gripping. Watched it first by ‘accident’ after coming back home from hospital after my youngest lost his spleen. Took my mind off my own family trauma. Anyway 5 years on both my lad and Wilko fighting fit
Mick Green, Jonny Spence and Frank Farley. The best out-'n-out R&R band I've seen and I've seen quite a lot. It's interesting that when Paul McCartney did his roots R&R album, "Run Devil Run", he said his go to guitarist had to be Mick Green. Even if you're not a McCartney fan it is a v good R&R album. Besides Mick Green it has Ian Paice and Dave Gilmour playing on it.
