Does anyone think Eric Dier should be a fixture in the England team? Southgate seems to hold him in high regard.
I think he's absolute bobbins. Like a slightly better version of Lee Crookes. Saw the England lineup and made the informed choice not to bother watching.
Rubbish tippy tappy football gave the ball away and bang, 1-0 down. struggling to see why Pickford keeps his place as well.
Shocking team selection and formation. This is probably the first time Mount has played in a front 3 in his life.
I was just thinking the same. That midfield is dreadful - basically two defensive midfielders and two full backs. Combine that with a slow front three, could be a cricket score.
Wouldn’t get in the Barnsley side as far as I’m concerned. That Grealish is a show pony if ever I saw one, on his arse more than his feet. Only Kane and Tripps worth their place.
Just said on Sky that the 7 attempts on goal by England in this first half is the most they’ve had so far in this competition. Only started watching after half hour and all I’ve seen is England have plenty of possession without looking any where near like scoring.
Southgate is a dreadful manager - beaten by the only three decent sides he faced in the World Cup (and Croatia were not that good, due to their defensive issues.)
I’ve never quite understood the clamour to get Grealish into the England team. Poor mans George Moncur for me. Waste of a shirt.
Yes. Runs into players, gets bucketloads of free kicks, never really looks like getting past a man. He has a few nice touches, certainly, and tries to LOOK good but he's not a definite starter for me.
