I think they knew that people would breach their rules anyway so this just gives them justification for post Xmas lockdown think we will be subject to restrictions of some kind until April
And no social distancing,,,, I’d say, just because these morons say it’s okay, it isn’t,,, please don’t do it!!!
So proud of Boris and the rest of the incredible government for negotiating this Christmas treaty with Covid.
Once the shops and restaurants open after this lockdown I have a feeling people will go mad for Christmas shopping and socialising, so I expect the COVID rate to rise before Christmas never mind afterwards. I hope I am wrong, but I am not very optimistic. However, I am a glass half full type of person so who knows
Everyone would have mixed anyway, I bet even 90% of folk slagging the idea of will mix with other households.
Covid won't stop over a period of five days and with alcohol being involved face covering and distancing are sure to go out of the window. It will all end in tears, trust me. PS The rules on face covering are being relaxed I know, but that is pure folly imo.
Confused. Lets say Household A mixes with Household B on Xmas day and Household C on Boxing Day. If Household B and C haven't met, do they have the opportunity to mix with another household each, to take full advantage of the 3 household rule? Or are they stuffed*? *never too early for a Xmas pun
This is the reason why there’s a fair chance we won’t see any hospitality opening up this side of February.
But people would have broke the rules anyway.... we should have gone the other way got the army in told everyone to have Christmas in there own homes then rubber bullets and water cannons for those who leave the house.
Kill your granny week. Brilliant. We should be sheltering the elderly, this is going to kill a lot of old folk. We normally have both sets of parents over either Christmas Day or the week before, not this year - how reckless can you get?? I’d rather not see my parents on Christmas Day and they still be alive in Feb 2021 thanks.
Darwinism in action...... if you're that thick that having a few days with an elderly relative pointlessly celebrating the birth of a fictitious genie in the sky, is more important than keeping that elderly relative alive until the same time next year, then, heyho.....
