For me it’s been Liam Roberts, he’s saved us in so many games over the season but recently his form has dipped drastically and now is costing us goals.
I think we have some good players if we set them up right and get on the front foot no reason we can't beat anyone in this league.
Our increase in goals conceded has coincided with Liam Roberts having a dip in form. He was keeping us in games a lot more at the start of the season. I don't think not having a settled back 3 has helped either. From September to December, we generally went with a back 3 of McCart, De Gevigney and Williams (with Shepherd bobbing in and out). I'd be interested to know though how many different back 3 combos we've had this season when you consider that at some point, we've also had Earl, Pines, Lopata and Kitching playing there too. Edit: I think even Owen Dodgson had a game or two at centre half.
If I’m looking for evidence of a lost dressing room, I’d point to our performances since the Bolton game. I’ve seen a lack of confidence, commitment and fight.
Agree.. load of b0110cks.. it's like the ' go too phrase' when things aren't going right.. absolutely no evidence at all.. One thing that was apparent was judging from the two fans forums I saw.. the difference in his own demeanor was striking.. going from a jolly positive ' let do this' kind of guy.. To a boxer on the ropes who thought the fight was going to be easy.. but was being battered from all angles, and he'd run out of ideas of how to win..
Our drop off also coincided with the injury to Pines - and letting Lopata and Shepherd out on loan. Perhaps if one or both had still been around it might not have happened...
He didn't lose the dressing room, we've just got too many rubbish players. Amazingly some might get picked up by championship clubs in the summer.
