    Motivation is what wins cup finals and playoffs (plus a bit of quality). This team have a severe lack of it. No urgency at all in us.

    Perfect time for the promotion king to step in.

    With the club not knowing what division it may play in next season as it currently stands, Warnock is the ideal candidate as given whatever happens….it gives the board enough time to get the right man in for a longer term appointment.

    Colin will install a winning mentality straight away and get them fired up.

    Perfect short term fix as for me, I wouldn’t want Devaney taking us through the run in. There’s too much at stake for someone unproven with only 1x league game to go and then a possible playoff stint.
    He doesn’t deserve that pressure putting on him as a servant to the club who has done so well.

    Assuming we appointed him today. He drives up from Cornwall Wednesday.
    He watches them train Thursday.
    That gives him Friday to work out a system, get to know the players and somehow instill his winning mentality the day before arguably our biggest game in 12 months.

    A big gamble for potentially a one game appointment.

    I'd like to think that the board had somebody already in place given their swinging of the axe. And even if that appointment is unveiled today I'm sure the starting XI and tactics will be MD's.
