You get the feeling the West Stand is a last resort for people to buy tickets for

Of course it is. It's horrible for anyone other than those who like it because they've always sat there and do so out of nostalgia and a sense of belonging

It is but the fact that most people don’t like to sit there is used as a reason to not upgrade it. The argument is always that we don’t need the extra seats as we never sell them. We never sell them because people would rather not go than have to sit there, if it was upgraded people would then buy those tickets.

I’d love to know, who - with a choice all the seats, opts for this one?!

I've sat in the west stand lower a couple of times since it went all seater and I do like the view of the other three sides from there. The downside though is lack of cover and I don't much care for getting soaking wet. I don't like seeing it from the ESL though as it is always more than half empty - depressing sight.

I've not been in the old stand since the 1966/67 season when I purchased a boy's season ticket for £3. The Secretary took me up there to choose my seat. I picked one right behind the directors box. I felt like a King :). The view was slightly obscured by the supporting girders but otherwise it was ok. How it is now though, for grown ups (especially big ones like me) I'm not sure. The seats in the ESL are too small especially when there is someone either side of you but maybe the wooden ones up there are even worse?

When the plan is in place to demolish it some time I will go up there one last time, just for the nostalgia.

The West stand is not fit for purpose, I sat in there a few times last season the legroom is appalling, there’s no cover, no phone signal and the refreshments kiosk is basic.

113 seats left in all areas.

So looking like a sell out in the home stands.

    Northampton bringing over 1100.

Few seasons in a row now we've had a few "sold out" games... and yet nothing done to get more fans in. It's as if we don't need the money. West stand is a last resort for many... it needs sorting.

There is cover in the West Upper and I get a phone signal up there.
The leg room isn’t good though and in the upper you need to pick seats that don’t have a blocked view due to the roof supports
