    Grimsby have signed a striker, Akwasi Asante, from their manager's old club. Replacement for Bogle?

    LJ has signed another 6 foot 5 German, goalkeeper from Schalke (2 games in three years).

    And, subject to bail conditions etc, Southend fans now have the mouth-watering prospect of a Nile Ranger and Frank Nouble 'strike' partnership. God help them.

    On a slightly different topic, where does that leave our two players on loan at grimsby?? Can they be recalled if they arent getting enough game time there and sent elsewhere?
