We get to keep him until the end of the season. We get the extra money back in the summer with the 1 mill fee Conor can decide where he wants to go as im sure clubs will still queue up to buy him for 1 mill. COYR
It's like closing the stable door when the horse has bolted . Conor and winnall should have been offered 15k a week last summer.
If we do that, what's stopping the rest of the out of contract players from demanding the same deal? Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Them not being as good as Conor...not that i think it's a good idea like but Conor is different class to anyone else at the club.
Wonder what we have offered Conor and the other out of contract players , all on a first division wage at moment
My thought too. Could unstable the full playing staff. We know our limits and having faced the abyss once of going out of business this is the way we must operate. If we're going forward like this though we need to spend some cash on a savvy CEO who knows the game and who can play the game milking every last transfer penny out of any club that come sniffing and recognises the full quality of talents at the club. We seem to have our pants down every time we sell.
We broke the wage structure last season to make Hammill the best paid player after consulting the rest of the squad
I thought about this last week. Would we do the same again? It would be nice even if like you said. Pay him handsomely to the eos let's see how far we can go. But we still have to get the fly splatters out to beat everyone off the other players too. Stressful times but brilliant to watch. Hopefully we can keep going and don't fritter away towards the end of the season
He should get more being the skipper but not 25k. I would prob say to him stay whilst end of season to see what happens and give him an uplift to say 15k as a gesture. Then little motivation for the others.. 1 mill to each 1st teamer as a bonus if they got us to prem.. That should keep the focus..Then give hecky improved terms as well.
Give him Sam Morsys wages on top of what he's on now, and extra year, and a release clause for any premier league club to trigger. That shows ambition, and then offer the other players with 6 months left better deals, they will more likely follow if we get Conor tied down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
i doubt even that would tempt him. they'll probably be offering c£30k and a 3/4 year contract. we just can't compete financially with villa, and we shouldn't try to
