Now that it looks that we're not going up or down, I really think we should give him some game time, probably at the expense of Kent.thought Williams did well when he came on. Technically he looks a very skilful player. Think it also wouldn't hurt to give Moncur game time.
Sorry Fiona disagree, think he'll be gone in the summer. I'd play Mowatt as often as possible. He's going to be playing going forward anyway, with Josh hopefully.
Both he and Moncur are good players. Think Williams could do a job as a winger to fit into our system better. I've been impressed with him when I've seen him
It will take time for Moncur to get used to our tempo. If he is genuinely committed to changing his game. He strikes me as a lazy bugger at heart.
have to disagree Fi to some degree IMHO we are still in with a good shot at the play-offs, ok it may be a long shot but right now its still to play for. Secondly "not going down" I do have to agree with that but we are not over the magical 50 point line just yet. I am all for getting players experienced and improved, but we could also damage confidences if they get beat too often too. I would keep on using our strongest side till we are totally safe and till we may be out of the race for the play offs. We have 13 games to go, all the others have similar amounts of games to left toplay too. Some of the teams in the top ten have not as yet hit any major crisis... that can still happen. In all honesty I do think we will fall short of play-offs, but just now is not the time to give up on it.
Re: have to disagree Fi to some degree I agree, I wanted Ryan to come on after about 55 minutes when we seemed like we were unable to advance up the pitch. I thought Moncur's play was tidy but he didn't seem to have the confidence to take the ball on and beat players. The way Ryan's played recently, he's been excellent at taking the ball forward and holding it up until he has support.
I'm looking forward to seeing Williams, Moncur, Mowatt, Hedges and, perhaps, a number of the younger lads (eg. Brown, Kay, Wardle) being given an opportunity to show what they can do before the end of the season.
