jeez.....that's very pricey....only £3.95 on the cruise ship Britannia.....the robbing dogs.....nice one Jase
it was £4.20 at edgbaston yesterday. Earlier this month I paid £4.70 at Lord's, although to be fair to the MCC are allowed to take in 2 bottles of ale or a bottle of wine in with you. This is the only test match ground where this is allowed.
At Edgbaston I think you can take your own in for county championship games, but not for T20s or tests.
I've definitely taken tins for a Sunday League game at Headingley, but this was a very long time ago. I'm sure my mate said he took them in for an international match, though only in one part of the ground, but this was nearly 20 years ago. When I lived in Nottingham you definitely couldn't sneak booze into Trent Bridge, though you could pay the stewards a fiver to let you in after 4pm on the day of a test / second innings of a one dayer!
20 odd years ago I took a tray of lager in bought at local offie......3 years on the trot. That was for test matches at Headingley. #backinttolddays
Was that you outside ESL with a hot drink telling us that it was too expensive and that we were daft for paying it?
Statement earlier this week... "Our focus this season is to engage with the fans. We’ve reduced the concourse catering prices across the board" The lying *******s
What about £5.10 though ? for a "meal deal" that clearly says £4.90. "Sorry love, those are last years prices" Only downside of a good day today at the'Well.
Re: What about £5.10 though ? So they are too lazy to take down old signage that's been out of date for three months and want to con fans with false/fake prices.
Re: What about £5.10 though ? She was polite enough, and to be honest, I'd had a long drive and just wanted some snap. To my mind though, it was newer signage, not as big as last years. When I got in, Tom and his mate* commented that they had been told £5.10 too ........... I'm not gonna lose sleep but I do believe there is business to be had if they get it right (for what it's worth, £4.90 for a pie and coffee is still a bit steep to be called a 'deal') * Yes, Tom has brought along yet another mate who enjoyed his day out .......... he's certainly doing his bit to drum up support, even if it is daft-****** here who has to traipse all over Yorkshire to pick up and drop off. Reyt fan, me tha noz.
