Plus the 150k for being on the telly. Plus the gate receipts. And same again in the semi This cup run is now worth well over a million.
Don't want to quibble at a a time like this, but It was £265,000 for the TV. Dunno yet how much we'll get for the semi.
£1.25M+ from yesterdays result ? Surely we'll net at least an extra £1.25M from this result. Say 40%(just a guess - perhaps someone can correct me) of 60,000 tickets at average £30 = £720k, TV fees about £265K, money for winning chelsea £300k, + merchandising + profit on coaches
RE: and all the goodwill etc Me too mate. What a difference the crowd made yesterday. Some of those stayaway fans must be cold fish to turn their backs on us again until the Wembley game comes up. Mind you, I reckon it meant more to the likes of us than them yesterday.
On way out of the ground and someone was saying "I wonder how many of those will be there on Tuesday" and I said we'll probably be back to 9,500!
strangely I can find no mention on the FA site about tv money for the semi final and final Only up to the quarters. Gate reciepts for the semi final are a little different too. First 5.5% goes to the 'pool' to be distribtued by the fa to affiliated associations, then wembley stadium takes a payment (though actually the rules for this season don't say the semi final is at wembley, merely at a neutral venue to be decided bt the FA). After that we get 16.25% of the gate reciepts from both semi finals (65% in total going to the 4 clubs) with 25% going to the FA and another 10% going to the pool again.
yeah, just had a look . strange it doesn't mention appearance money - surely its at least the same for the semis. Gate receipts should be in region of £600k, so i reckon we're still looking at at least a £million extra
Hopefully should be quite a lot anyway. Is it me or do we not get any money from gate reciepts in the final?
Here it is and it looks great http://www.thefa.com/TheFACup/TheFACup/NewsAndFeatures/Postings/2008/03/FACSF_drawdetails.htm
