This popped up on my Facebook memories list today. The immediate aftermath of the Stendel sacking, the 21-word statement, and the long period of silence from the ownership. The timing of seeing this today felt very relevant, given that I'm, no doubt like many others, now back in a similar place with regard to the running of the club, but for more fundamental reasons this time than the treatment of a head coach. A lot has happened in the meantime, some of it unforgettably positive in terms of on-field performance, so it's particularly depressing that the owners still aren't able to judge the mindset of the general fan-base after all this time, as seen by their ability to alienate a sizeable proportion of it, almost at will. Perhaps with hindsight we need to give more credit to Dane Murphy for the improved relations in the interim period. Coronavirus, and in particular the discounted season ticket deal that was available for the following season, was a large reason why I ultimately ended up renewing that year. The 'beyond all expectations' on-field performance was the reason why it was a no-brainer to renew for this season. Sadly, we're heading down a trajectory both on and off the field where it's becoming increasingly unlikely that I'll choose to do the same thing again under the current ownership. It's nothing that hasn't been said before, with many others clearly feeling the same as me, but seeing this pop up on my timeline today just reinforced how alienated I feel from the club, yet again, for totally avoidable reasons.
too much information, I'll stick with this. https://www.guitartutoronline.com/beginners/learning-the-strings/the-qgq-string
