I guarantee if we got a brand new stadium fans would be wetting their pants . And as for soulless , it’s the people in the ground that give the buzz . MK Dons is a superb ground and pride park has an atmosphere we can only dream about . New grounds with better facilities and better access and stadia that can be used for a variety of events is the way we’re going to go sooner or later and I’m all for it !

Give me somewhere like like Anfield or Old Trafford any day. Access to both is very poor , used as football grounds and 100x better than likes of Pride Park. Have they even finished Mk Dons yet?

Stand still you go backwards . What is the problem with Barnsley fans not wanting to move with the times ? Mind you we’re only little Barnsley eh

What times? You say Anfield and Old Trafford have gone backwards ? Why is wanting to redevelop Oakwell going backwards? Have Donny moved forward with a new ground?

We don't need a new ground, we need to spend some money on the one we have now.

Paint all the concourses, install an actual big screen and replace the west stand with a copy of the east and it will be one of the best stadiums in Yorkshire

So if you were the new owner, and knowing that you were currently only hitting 60% capacity, you'd want to chuck money away on a new stadium? It's not the ground that keeps fans away, it's the quality of football. I want that sorting first and foremost. The rest can wait.

Really ? It’s old tired and not for fit the 21st century but of course we shouldn’t move forward cos we’re only little Barnsley . The west stand is embarrassing the home end is smaller than the away end and we can’t even use sone of it . A 23k capacity but we’re not allowed to have more than 19ish in attendance . Build it and they will come !

Replace the west with a new stand and which of the remaining three is not fit for purpose and for what reason?
We aren't allowed to sell all 23kbecause our stewards are ineffective at deal with problem fans, absolutely nothing to do with stadium design.

The entire west stand can be used, we only open half of it because we don't have enough supporters to require it.

Ha we can’t even use the last block in the east stand lower and it’s a joke ! The overall matchday experience is piss poor although the board have mentioned improving this . Imo we’ll have a new ground sooner rather than later and I’m all for it .

Why do you keep ignoring the questions and the points put to you?

That block gets closed because of fab trouble, not because of stadium design.if we built a stadium with a shiny bowl the same amount of space would be cordoned off because the same safety advisory panel is making the decision based on the actions of the same supporters and the same stewards. Why do you believe that it is closed due to the design of the ground? In your opinion which aspect of the east stand design forces that section to close?

If the west stand was replaced which stand isn't fit for purpose and why?

Pride park was like a library until they scored. Oakwell would be buzzing if we were on the verge of the playoffs like they were.

We've been rubbish at home for best part of 2 full seasons. That's nowt to do with the stadium.

Good to see that you love the West Stand so much that you have a photo of it on the BBS .

Also a very large City - again we have not gone over 15k very much during my time watching us even going back to our glory years when it was a few pounds to get in

Old trafford with the leg room? No thanks, Anfield road end where you can't see the far goal in the last two rows?

Completely bulldozed two sides and rebuilt, the third stand along the length of the pitch they knocked down the bottom tier and completely rebuilt. Only refurbed one upper tier, other stand they've yet to start.

They had nothing to play for. A stroll around on a Sunday afternoon, we left on the fourth goal and Derby fans were in the pub before us. Different atmosphere last night.

So it's not a new ground- going by your criteria Oakwell is a new ground as 3 sides have been bulldozered and rebuilt
