I agree that football costs too much, way too much.

No idea. It's all to do with price elasticity of demand isn't it. It isn't all about having a full stadium though but it is about getting closer to it.

More people in the ground means more shirts sold, more programmes sold and more food and drink sold too which is often overlooked

I'd be very interested to see the statistic about how many clubs (in the championhip or other divisions) allocate 30% of their stadium capacity to away supporters. Add to that the empty seatspace that seem to be required to format a barrier between oppowing fans...
A realistic statistic would be uptakeasier of tickeys in available areas for home fand - maybe someone has the numbers on this ?

Interesting stuff on Bradford's site. Their MAXIMUM price for an adult ST is £199 anywhere in the ground. With this you can get unlimited under 11's tickets too.
Also pay on the gate is £25, but if you buy a ticket on the Friday before the Saturday game it's only £20, regardless of the opposition

    "
Over the past few seasons we have seen season ticket sales grow from 11,000 to over 18,500 as a result of our affordable pricing structure.
Under new ownership the plan is to continue to keep tickets affordable whilst adopting a strategy that will hopefully see the club back in the Championship and eventually the Premier League.

Along the way, as a season ticket holder you will see an investment in our youth academy, money spent on the infrastructure of the stadium and the introduction of a membership structure to bring Bantams fans from all over the world, closer to their club.

So, our question to you is "Do You Believe?"

    • Do you believe in progress on and off the field?
    • Do you believe in building a better matchday experience?
    • Do you believe in finding the best young talent in West Yorkshire to play for your club?
    • Do you believe in affordable football for everyone?
    • Do you believe that we will be back in the Premier League one day?
What a great business model, and they regularly get 19,000 despite being mid table.
Crowds we can only dream of, the next generation of Bantams are being developed now

Yes its sounds great , strange though that if believed , Simon Grayson has decided not to extend his stay because the budget Bradford were giving him for next season does not meet his ambition

Get your point but I was answering (or trying to) tyketstics question as to what price level would generate a full stadium
Bradford have got the support but perhaps the same level of income as BFC who pay double what Bradford fans pay, so where does the money come from to buy better players?
At Barnsley we apparently have rich owners who could fund the cheaper ticket prices AND pay for better quality players

    We'll see

I hear what you are saying but no one gets rich by giving money away , they are very wealthy but its been said many times that their wealth & the clubs wealth are two different things & they have made it clear that the business plan at the club will stay on similar lines to the previous stewardship , whether that alters we will have to wait & see

Its like Trigger saying he'd kept the same broom all those years, despite the fact that its mop head and/or the handle had to be replaced with a new one a number of times lol.
I do agree that the West stand looks awful now and must be changed, and we should be looking to change the ground if we can and try to make it look like a proper stadium.
