Doesn't mean he told the truth. Last time I changed jobs I added a few bob on when they asked what I was on/had been offered elsewhere.

No, Moore's agent will have told him what he'd like the Peterborough chairman to think he's been offered.

If we sign Moore for £250k and £4-5k-ish a week, then 'meh', we have a big, slow bloke in the squad who might be able to help us mix it up against the Cardiffs of this world and offer something more generally from the bench. Anything more and I think don't go there.

I do reckon the OP knows things but find his childish riddles, fishing and willy-waving tiresome. On the premise that he does know something I hope the 6 ft 5 signing isn't Moore and am relying on the failure to see how he, or anyone vaguely compos mentis, could put the words 'Kieffer', 'Moore' and 'exciting' in the same sentence.

Could be a continental player although the circumstantial smoke from McAnthony and Ipswich is very worrying.

You don’t think Lindsay & Pinnock could make us a couple of million?

Won’t be signing for anywhere near £10k a week. Just won’t happen.

I don’t know the Peterborough chairman’s reasoning for saying that but I’d imagine it’s to keep their fans happy as none will question him not matching £10k a week

We will have to change so much of our game for that to happen. The comments OTT from me but so are some of the comments like he doesn't make the signings when he clearly does.

For them two to achieve a fee of that sizze after Roberts as failed some what at St Andrews then they are going to need more of the ball and dictate the play like a Mawson or Stones does.

Thought you liked Isgrove? Fryers? Cavare? Added to Pinnock and Lindsey. And yet to see what Mallan, McGeehan and Thiam can really offer when fully fit and up to speed with championship.

You need to lay off it. Remember what happened when you started slandering Bobby Hassell and his family?

The style of play is largely dictated by us having a poor midfield apart from Williams. I’d imagine that’ll be sorted this month.

Lindsay’s already a £2m plus player for me & it won’t take many more similar performances for Pinnock to get to that standard. Loose change for many clubs at this level.

He doesn’t make the signings or hasn’t up to now. He’s given potential players generated to him by our scouting system & he has the final say on which of the small group we choose.

It’s completely different to a traditional manager who just picks a player he likes & asks the board to try & sign him

Sorry but that's nonsense. Of course, he makes the signings.

''He’s given potential players generated to him by our scouting system''

That's how it will work for every club. They generate names by different sources. The Analytics approach covers players from level 1 to 6 in England. We sign players that are outside of that. u23 players, Scotland and France to name a few.

Probably more a case of him not wanting to play for what they're offering since other clubs have upped the bidding.

Kieffer Moore: Hey agent, how's my transfer this month looking?

Mr Agent: Well, it looks like Barnsley are after you so you could play Championship football if you like.

KM: Nice one. How much are they offering to pay me?

MA: I've managed to get them to £5k a week. Pretty decent compared to what you're on.

KM: Erm, yeah but I thought there was a bidding war. Can't I get a little more?

MA: Sadly not, nobodies willing to pay close to that. Peterborough have the deepest pockets of anyone else who's in for you and I told them you'll be on £7k at Barnsley but will go there for first team football for £6k. That daft **** Barry Fry will go over the odds if he thinks he's getting a bargain but we had no luck. They said they couldn't go any better than £4k.

KM: Ahh well, nice try. Barnsley it is.

    MEANWHILE...

Darragh MacAnthony: Any progress on Kieffer Moore?

Barry Fry: Well his agent said he'll be on a whack at Barnsley with what they've offered him. It's up towards £10k a week with bonuses. But he'll sign for us for £6k and first team football.

DM: What, nearly ten grand a chuffing week?! Tell them to take the £4k or go balls.

BF: Will do. But at least the fans can't grumble when they're paying wages like that. We can't compete.

Please give it a rest Phil...I've defended you on here, but this vendetta you have towards Heckingbottom is ridiculous...more ridiculous even than your vendetta against Hassell.
Players of proven ' massive ability' cost massive figures....there are very few players of massive ability that will fit our budget or wage structure...and to say he's signed nobody that will make us a couple of million is disingenuous, you would be one of the first to then criticise him, or BFC for having no ambition to hold onto these stars.
