But there were 250,000 vacancies in the closure programme , every miner was offered a job within the industry . Many had to relocate and many did with thousands coming to Barnsley from Scotland and the north east . There were massive recruitment drives in schools etc in fact I can remember the NCB recruitment officer coming to our school year after year recruiting . There was a world i Of difference In the Tory closures to labours .
The first two lines of your post contradict the rest. How can you understand then post as though you don’t ?
Even if you discount this, the current Conservative Party is just as dispicable, and Tory Voters from anywhere North of Watford are making a terrible decision.
Ignorant because i dont agree with the labour mob rules? So keen to play the victims then be hateful to anyone who doesn't agree with them....
Now your starting to twist it for your own ends . You know damn well I said your ignorant for saying Barnsley people couldn’t read . It’s there in black and white .
I was in town but you couldn’t get near with the amount of security and entourage that surrounded him ,unless you wanted to praise him which I didn’t see many do .
The point really is that there are lot's of people in town who feel they are being neglected - rightly or wrongly, and they are being persuaded by Oswald Farage and his ilk that the immigrants are to blame. It's a symptom that repeats what happened in Germany before the 2nd world war when the Jews were blamed. I'd have thought the older voters would have seen this and recognised it, but sadly the older ones are worse than anyone.
May I suggest all three of you read ‘The Ragged trousered philanthropist’. If you think history doesn’t count. As relevant as it always has been. When you’ve done that. Come back with opinions. Although I don’t think Brampton answers owt without trying to be sarcastic adding an emoji to compliment his sarcasm.
Ragged trousered philanthropists is a fantastic book. Brampton,, you really need to take a very good look at yourself mate.
I think you dont need the "North of Watford" Tory voters from anywhere who haven't got millions in offshore funds are making a terrible decision is how I would put it
Excellent post, well done to that gentlemen and everyone else that protested.I hope there was no trouble for anyone, I have had to work or I would like to have joined them. Sadly watching the news recently, the people who have suffered most and would suffer most in the future, are the ones who will vote for the fascists.
Can’t see that, because I quit Facebook when I realised they were selling my data without my permission. Also don’t get northern news. Please don’t tell me they kissed his fascist a***.
