For me should not be starting. I appreciate he's a good player but not in our system or style of play. Again yesterday he was ineffective for large parts of the game and doesn't seem to link up well with Bradshaw. Also, f**king jump for the ball and challenge for a header!

I agree. There is no doubting his ability but it's not happening for him with us. Time to play our own and put Bradshaw and Watkins up front.

And please get Watkins signed up.

I respect Watkins for not chucking his toys out the Pram after January but I really think the ships sailed on him staying in the summer. Next season will be a slog

I'll doubt his ability. He is *****. One good season at lower level does not a striker make.

If he's got any ability he certainly hasn't shown it in the 27 games he's played for us.

Anyone can score a good goal once or twice. Hell even Tom Williams hit a perfect shot from the halfway line once.

Harsh but fair. History is littered with players who had a good season in the lower leagues and then faded into obscurity. And to be honest if i and others are harsh on him then he's only got himself to blame because he has been bone idle.

If he was a trialist available in a free he wouldn't be signed. I think that says it all.

I think he's suffered from playing in the wrong formation. He's got lightning pace and needs it playing into feet. Up front with marley and I think you'd see a very different player.

I hear this lightning pace thing a lot. Why hasn't he ever ran passed a player then? Simple answer he can't be arsed

He missed a gem of a chance in the first half, couldn't even hit the target

I'm not sure I see his ability as being beyond L1 level myself but at the same time he's a young lad with a lot of years to develop so who knows. What I do know is our style of play doesn't seem to suit him. He has pace but no sped of thought so starts flat footed. I see no value in continuing to play him.

Unfortunately i think you're right which is worrying because we can't keep rebuilding twice a year. The same with Scowen.
