Ive already mentioned I forgot about that when I said that, still Davies kicked the ball out 3/4 times, whereas Eastwood generally kicked the ball better, still maintain Davies is the better keeper and he pulled off one or two very good saves and even looked to have a lot more confidence in claiming stuff around his box
We treated Davies poorly last season playing him when he had lost all confidence because we had no viable replacement. I felt sorry for him agree with the rest.
Do you mean like the quick release Davies did to Cavare to set up the first goal , or did you not see that ?
Didn't he release it quickly for the second goal? It looked almost Schmeichel-esque on the highlights.
I am not sure but he certainly did for the 1st goal , I think some fans have selective eyesight when it comes to Davies , shame really when we know he is a good keeper when his confidence is up , it needs fans to get behind him .
Think selective eyesight works both ways to be honest. No surprise that the people who don't rate Davies (e.g. myself) comment on how he looked a bit dodgy on Saturday and spilled a few routine saves. And those who do rate him (e.g. yourself and Jimmy Cricket) comment on the better aspects of his game on Saturday (i.e. his distribution). I think we can all agree that we hope he's back to his best this year.
Yes I agree with you , we all hope he gets his for back to what it was two years ago & yes he did make a couple of errors on saturday but so did every other player on the pitch , thats why they are in division one , if you can find a goalkeeper who can eliminate mistakes then he will be plying his trade in the top flight . On saturday Eastwood made three or four major errors & yet some would be happy for us to buy him to replace Davies , I just think fans should cut him some slack
