Jesus Christ. As far as I am aware he watched the game at the club and was in until at least 10.30 and was hammered. All you’ve got is an Instagram post. I’m not arguing this anymore. I posted to prove that he wasn’t in Melbourne.
Haha, 208 now. Posted it on the Tykes Talk facebook thing but to be honest it wasn't worth the abuse I got, including private messages calling me some really crap stuff... I get differing opinions and all that but not outright abuse. Think I'll stick to the BBS where the abuse is (usually) tongue in cheek and well mannered
Nice sentiment but i’d rather us sign players that our head coach wants and fits into his style of play rather than just sign players the fans clamour for
Chris Lumsdon, Ryan Williams, arguably Lloyd Isgrove (although hoping for a good year from him). Fan pressure doesn’t usually end well By the way, I’d love us to sign him up, but only if the coach wants him and will play him
Had him on loan. Looked an absolute world beater. Petition started to sign him up permanently. Ended up at Carlisle after wasting a couple of years with us being pretty awful.
I thought that was a good PR move when they invited fans to the training session , I know it was only a small gesture but hey from little acorns
I remember him playing for us but I was only a young 'un so didn't know the loan/petition story, thanks for that
On the face of it, this seems like a no-brainer to offer Adam a new deal. Which makes me wonder if there's something we're not being told. Regardless, just because a footballer's age starts with a 3 doesn't mean that they're done. And in the case of Adam Hammill, far from it. Can play on the left, the right, through the middle as a no. 10 and I've also thought he could adapt to playing an Ashley Young type role at left back. Would suit him perfectly IMO and could extend his career for years to come. It's coming home... and hopefully he is too! #adamhammillisared
I can confirm that Adam Hammill was at our house yesterday for tea and tiffin. Had a leisurely glass of Pimms with lemonade and strawberries and then went off to church to pray. Anyone care to argue?
I hope we do sign him back on. Maybe our new manager recognises Adams contribution to the club last season. He is hardly an OAP.
I’d welcome him back no question provided that it’s a move that benefits Stendel’s team and makes financial sense for the club. Hammill was a loyal servant who provided excellent lasting memories but we have to comply with SCMP and also have to build a team to play in the manner that Stendel was brought in to produce. If Hammill ticks all the boxes then that’s great but if he doesn’t fit in with Stendel’s style of play then it’s a completely pointless acquisition and does little to further our on field interests.
Would be interesting to see how Ads stats from last season compare, sure the club would have all this data for Stendel to peruse, ran his socks off when he got the chance which goes a long way in my book tried tested and proven at this level too.
We've had a lot of managers/head coaches who've signed some of the worst players you can find...I'd rather us sign players that we know from several years experience are good.
