Evening with Adam at The Lamproom a few years ago was excellent. An all-time great for me in 57 years watching the Reds.
He's the one player (other than Martin Bullock) who has made me feel like a kid again. At Wembley, I felt like I was 8 years old when he scored. Noises came out of me that I didn't know existed (in a good way). I was 37 years old.
The one player who tried the "grass is greener", admitted it wasn't, and came back with all his heart and effort. Oh for another player like him now. A game changer who seemed to love our club and came back and made such a difference. Wish we had him now in either stint. So many players could learn from him and his experiences of not just chasing money....
Don’t listen to it regularly but I may have to find time for that. Probably the most impactful player for us in my roughly 20 years of watching us. I sure do miss watching him pick the ball up on the byline and then run at defenders.
I was right behind his goal and knew it was going in well before it did and was already celebrating before it hit the net. Fantastic player.
