Not on the spreadsheet because Adam seems to be the finished article. We have a budget for wages and the preference is to look for good lower division/non league talent and bring them through. If he can't break into the first team then we can use his place to bring in player on an upward trajectory.
But it will probably be made as a business decision. Sell him and bring another in, may not always work out but I think that's how it will be done.
It is a shame he doesn't want to sign a new contract & fight for his place, but given his game time this season I can fully see why he wants a move. As suggested earlier, bring in a young lad as back up & maybe a more experienced loanee till the end of the season, which should be covered by whatever fee we get for him. I'd love to keep him & agree it will be sods law one of our main 2 CBs will be injured as soon as he has moved on...
Can you please enlighten me, is there any substance to this thread beyond the fact that Adam doesn’t want to resign with us? I would have thought that for the sake of another four months he would be better waiting to the end of the season when he will be in a far stronger position to negotiate his next contract with another club From the clubs point of view there can’t be many if any top end league one or lower end championship clubs competing for his signature
