Common sense can differ with opinions , laws are a common guide line.

 

In which case then the bedroom tax is completely justified. Because it's the law.

 

The bedroom tax is the law laid down by an idealistic political act ,
Pedophilia is a moral law laid down by all political,moral representatives of society.

 

They're not a guideline... they're a law.

it's not guidance it's an instruction. But it's only a social construct.

We're constantly told that Girls mature quicker than boys, yet the age of consent is the same for both.

We also see that when 15 year old boys shag gorgeous 28 year olds we see people on here saying what a lucky lad he was, and the teacher who shagged the lad over 50 times getting a suspended sentence.

Yet when a "more mature" girl entraps a gorgeous young man - he's the worst kind of criminal who the book should be thrown at.

Frankly it's about time the law was changed to protect our sons from these lolitta's.

When mother nature equips a girl with all the trappings of sexual maturity and she uses them to get something she wants it should not be the young man who takes all the fall just because of some social construct.

 

Mother nature tells you when you're sexually mature - not the law.

The age of consent - like the bedroom tax - is dependant upon social acceptability

It's not just young girls being fooled by a slightly o!der male that these laws are passed its old men grooming 12,13,14,15year olds its older people fooling the younger generation that's just learning the ways of the world ,its not only young girls that need protecting men pray on younger men as well.and I would suggest most people don't give hero status to an under age male being seduced by an older woman..

I think your post is the baffling one, given that you seek to inadvertently assert that Mr Johnson only found out 30 minutes after the crime, that he'd committed one.

 

So how is French society different from ours? Or German? Or American? It's circular logic, your argument is "it's wrong because we say it's wrong". How is putting Adam Johnson away for ten years going to improve society? He deserves to be punished, that's true, but giving him double what Ched got is silliness.

In now way do I intend to justify the actions of Johnson - only that every 28 year old in the same boat should be treat the same and one not be given a lower sentence because they're a woman.

There are distinct differences to how the law treats men and women in this area.

I also don't think a 17 year old should be branded a peadophile for having a relationship with a 15 and a half year old and there's certainly a difference between that and a 60 year old and youngsters.

That's the only point I was trying to make.

FYI ,sentences have differed from judge to judge for millennia.,when have you ever known in any country mirrored sentences for same crime, ffs in your beloved US they have death sentence for murder in one state and a few miles further they don't.
FY I paedophilia is sex with a child which In this country is under sixteen and if it had been my daughter I would be waiting for him when he came out .for further sentencing ( from me)

A drunk driver ran a mate of mine over when we were in our early teens. He ended up in a wheelchair, still is in one. The driver was banned and given some sentence suspended, can't remember what exactly. But no jail sentence. Despite being well over the limit and crippling someone.

Yet I have another mate who chinned a known smackhead, who he caught trying to rob from his mothers. I say chinned. He lamped him, then snapped each finger on his hands. Bit extreme. He got 6 months jail.

The law's strange.
