    No it was, I clearly misunderstood your previous question about whether I posted last year! Like I've said don't think anyone wanted George to leave but from my view I also don't think anyone was to blame in particular.

    A thread where people are sticking up for George Williams saying he wanted regular first team football but then elsewhere have a go at George Moncur for going to find it.

    Devils advocate maybe the contract was withdrawn because we thought he didn't have the fight in him to challenge for a place in the starting 11.....

    I don't have a problem with Moncur at all, he did what he did for what I think is the right reasons even if he didn't get himself over very well, but we know why the club withdrew the contract offer because Williams wanted to find a club and they thought that having to pay compensation for him would hamper his chances of getting a new club, is what I can remeber of the top of my head. Observer will know it better

    I agree with your interpretation GreenyTyke; the club acting honourable in making life easier for George to leave once they decided he wasn't in their plans
