Sounds like he wants to play football badly but injuries are stopping him. Tragic really as hes a great full back
Yeah think the club have been letting him train here, which is a really nice gesture. Was always excellent for us but sadly injuries have brought is Career to a halt.
Far as I’m aware club allowed him to train with them. Hope he gets a club. Him and Hammill played brilliantly together.
He trained with us last season. I believe he is pretty much back to full fitness now. He’s only 26/27. He’s a genuinely top bloke. I’d be more than happy for us to sign him, with basically a smallish weekly wage, and then bonus money when he plays. We could do with decent cover at LB. Also a clause which allows him to move elsewhere for free if he gets offered 1st team football regular. When fit, he’s a great asset at this level, but at the same time, we’d need to cover our backs in regards his injuries.
With Pinillos, Fryers and Ben Williams, I think we've more than enough cover for the left back spot. I thought he was decent going forward and his pace helped support Hammill, but defensively he wasn't the best. Hope it works out for him and someone gives him a go. Great to see we've been helping him as much as we can.
Gutted for him that he’s so injury prone. Nice lad who deserves better luck. Whether it’s with us or someone else I hope he gets back to full fitness. No one in League One could cope with his partnership with Hammill down that left wing
Agreed. He's more pace than any of our current full backs. He would run down the side, pass to Hammill, overlap waiting for the return pass, then whip a ball in to the box. Our current full backs aren't yet up for doing that.
I’d agree on the whole but the last 2 home games I’ve thought Pinillos has got forward well. I like Aidy but as others have said, we have enough cover there already.
Yeah he's not worth the risk with his injury record. If he could play 40 plus games a season, he would be a starter for a top half championship club.
