    As far as I'm aware Akinfenwa gives as good as he gets and seemed a decent bloke until today. I think he's jumping on the race bandwagon myself. That's what p1sses me off a bloke famed for his banter suddenly goes all sensitive.

    If he has previously likened himself to a water buffalo and someone has potentially seen this and called him a fat one, im not sure that shows any racist intent. It is hard to know without the full facts. Seems a bizarre coincidence though.

    Maybe he shouldn't have to explain himself. There's a difference between racism and banter and maybe part of addressing racism is listening when a black person says it's offensive rather than straight away saying oh no it isnt.

    I’m not a big fan of this idea of unconscious racism, micro-aggressions, white privilege et al, but if you can’t see the racism in calling a black player a “water buffalo” I think you need to have a word.

    One thing that strikes me about akinfenwa is that h is absolutely huge obviously and it's all/mainly muscle. How the hell is he only 16 stone according to all websites I can find?
