I was calling myself a shitty football fan, not insinuating that you said it.

I'd like us to play at the highest level possible, of course, but the championship just feels like no mans land to me. Not enough big teams to make it overly exciting, but too many stronger teams that we can't play good football and enjoy it.

That being said, I'd love it if we did similar to Sheff Utd.

As the much missed Westlife once so beautifully said "I believe in angels..........I have a dream".

Old cliche but it doesn't matter about the division if your players are well drilled. Just look at Sheffield Utd. An example of what can be achieved in a relatively short space of time if you don't go all kamikaze.

Between 1982 and promotion to premier. We finished in the top half of the 2nd tier around 11 times . 5 times lower only and only flirted with relegation on a couple of occasions. Was a great time to be a red. More than matched both Sheffield clubs during that period.

I always enjoy it the first season we get up & then players get sold & it’s back to the realisation that every season will be a relegation battle

I didn't enjoy the championship last season, not because of relegation but because of all the overt cheating I saw. Players going down like they'd been hit by a sniper's bullet, cynical fouls by our opponents, elbows & leaving a foot in etc. It happens at all levels I suppose but I found it appalling last season. Powerful players flopping down in the box (or just outside the area). I hated it! Plus financial cheats such as Birmingham, QPR & Bolton!
I really want promotion but also want the crap to be cleaned up

Is it the championship you don't like or watching us lose?
I suspect it's the latter and I have a lot of sympathy for that.
However, on those occasions we've had a good team at Championship level and we win more than we lose there's nothing better.

It's more enjoyable because we win more.
