I know this is well into the future , but how about a cycle ride to Burton in April. according to this its 62 miles when avoiding motorways

    http://www.theaa.com/route-planner/index.jsp

Barnsley fans have walked to neighbouring teams on more than one occasion to raise funds for various reasons... 62 miles may be a tad too far for a walk but I know many on here are keen road/mountain cyclists .... just an Idea folks.... maybe even stage it over two days and stop off at a camp site or B&B,Just a thought guys.

I am too far away and too old to do something like this. But I know there are quite a lot on here who are cycling fans ... we have a the Tour of Yorkshire ... I just thought it may be a decent idea to help the air ambulance... perhaps approach Burton Albion and their fans for some input too... I also thought its stuff like this that can unite fans and build bonds between clubs.... again its just a thought guys.

Worth thinking about. I know Huddersfield Town have done one prior to their final game of the season for quite a few years, including riding to the final away match venue, from Carlisle via Liverpool in memory of Bill Shankly.

You could always join in by parachute dropping from a great height onto the centre circle of the Pirelli.

From the Air Ambulance, cos they might thereafter be needed somewhat quickly.

I am keen to sponsor you.

John Peachey has promised to act as a target! Scratching. In his disco outfit.
