    Has to be one of the worst centre halfs ive seen in my 30 years going to well -liability for goals today /Tuesday/last Saturday /insert any game he's played

    But he scored against Wednesday so he must be a hero

    Very worrying. Clearly thrived playing alongside Roberts. Still think Lindsay is going to
    play a big part for us this season and let's hope that Gus might play better when he's
    partnering him.

    Waghorn had 2 of our defence to get past on his own before scoring. Which he did. The Red Sea of a defence parted as if he was Moses.

    Can't blame the midfield for all of that.

    He looks poor at the minute. At times last season he looked OK. Giving him the captains armband is baffling.

    Both centre halves were shocking, McDonald not a leader for a start so take the captaincy off him. Jackson nowhere near good enough unfortunately.

    He's not playing well this season but it's wrong to say he's living off the Wednesday goal, he was good for us last year

    He's getting a bit of stick Angus and he's not had the best start to this season but he'll come good I'm sure of it. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but I'm wondering if Davies should've been made captain (even though I'm not 100% on goalies being captains).

    I agree RC. The whole defence is worrying at the minute but I believe Gus is a good defender and will come good. He's taken on a lot of responsibility and he's only in his second season at this level.

    Just like Alfie he will thrive, as he did last season, with an assured figure next to him.

    Understandably tougher when you have AJ flapping like a frightened goose next to ya!!!

    The problem is we seem to be pinning a lot of hope on a player thats never played at this level to bring the best out of mcdonald. What happens if that partnership doesn't work ? do we buy him another partner ?
