I was actually thinking about that, imagining people turning up at midday and taking out a barbecue from their boot in the middle of the Oakwell car park. That would be awesome!
Went to see the New York Mets in 2003. Thought the game itself was dull as anything but the "fan experience" around it was fantastic from food and drink available in the stadium to the entertainment between innings. I thought at the time there were things that would translate to a football game.

A spokesmen said that it was believed that a number of portable barbecues had caused a chain reaction of fires amongst the vehicles parked closely together. It is estimated that in excess of three hundred cars have been destroyed"
