That's a massively important thing. More people in my life than I would wish on anyone have fallen victim to the terrible affliction that is mental illness. There's one in particular about whom I will never stop thinking "what if".

Twitter themselves have actually done a ‘moments’ piece on it

Getting the charity some great exposure, Good job, and be proud of yourself Chris, opening up is helping and hopefully you can get yourself back on track and in a better place.

Yes Chris, it took guts to do what you did and a lot of people will be encouraged to seek help by following your example. And massive praise to GG for writing such a supportive letter, it says a lot about him too.

I think this football club is undergoing a proper fundamental transformation in the way in which it is run and the way in which it engages with its support base. I can’t understand why anyone wouldn’t get behind this new leadership team.

Quite a prominent article in The Times today too (General News, as well as Sport).

Yeah, actually that's where I think it was on Breakfast - as part of the paper review.

It's not the first time the club has done something like this to be fair.

20 years ago when my brother died suddenly of a heart attack in his 40s, the club wrote us a very touching letter, saying how much they valued his support and how much he would be missed at Oakwell. What struck us at the time was that it was a very personalised letter, not just something generic knocked out by the marketing dept. Still have a copy of it at home, could never bring myself to throw it away.

Different era then (Dennis was chairman, Spinks wrote the letter as club secretary),but the same caring Reds.
