    Same years mate. Memories eh! - got BOE off McBride for just forgetting my PE kit. 2 slaps on each cheek trousers up or 1 slap on each trousers down. Opted for trousers down but he cheated and wacked me three times.

    Mrs Griffiths was our form teacher in first year shell 3. Just the sort of teacher little12 year olds didn't want to welcome them to the big school.

    I knew "Basher" socially and know he is still around. I heard some rumours about his teaching, but he seemed a very nice guy to me. I was in teaching, but never bashed any kids, or threw any board dusters, and I managed to teach at Worsbrough High in the early seventies on my first teaching appointment without laying a hand upon a child!! I did my second teaching practice at Charter School - Monty Kay was the Head and I had a good time there...
