Interesting article on the Guardian website about ex-footballers and their new careers. Arjan De Zeeuw talks about being a copper in the Netherlands. Others include Simon Garner, who always seemed to score against us, and Stuart Ripley, who is unrecognisable. http://www.theguardian.com/football...llers-life-after-final-whistle-premier-league
Great article. I remember thinking how much Stuart Ripley gave for us in commitment and passion in only 10 games.
Enjoyed that. I toyed with the idea of creating a where arw they now type website a few years ago. I reckon if you did it right it could be quite good. You rarely hear about what footballers get up to when they retire, un less they end up in coaching or the media. Interestingly enough, the law firm that Ripley used to work at is the one where Maurice Watkins is one of the senior partners.
