    He averaged 59.4 balls per innings, hardly like he batted all day for his 27 average.

    Ten overs is a long time to bat considering you won't face every ball. That's nearer 20 overs if the strike is shared. They play roughly 90 overs so that's over a fifth of the days play he's occupying the crease if he doesn't face every ball.

    Do you know what's really annoying, a fair few people are complaining about the short pitched bowling to Smith (they're probably Aussies mind) but yet on the the last couple of tours down under their fast bowlers came out in the press saying we're targeting your lower middle order and tailenders with short fast bowling and were basically gonna scare the sh*t out of them. I didn't see too many people complaining back then. So **** it. Let them have it, and I hope Archer targets all their batsman.

    I went yesterday, was great theatre and great sport. Full of contests and individual battles within the overall game

    Anyone complaining is wrong. There was genuine concern for an injured player but it’s all part and parcel of test match cricket

    All 4 results possible today let’s hope we can bat for another 40 overs and then we can see... you never know!
