Annoying that his goal was one of the deciding factors in our play off defeat and that Swansea couldn’t wait to get him off the wage bill.
Probably end up in America if he refuses to take a wage cut. Either way Swansea blew it & will now struggle through what will be a tough transitional period.
I’m waiting for someone to suggest we sign him. Apparently wages won’t be a problem, because “he’s currently earning nothing.”
He might be a good signing for us apart from two stumbling blocks: His pay demands His age. Apart from these I suspect he would be a shoo in.
Still seems crazy to me that a club could ever afford to pay a player 85k a week in Division One. (I suppose the point is that they couldn't really).
They will all have to take a huge pay cut. Apart from the 3 clubs coming down from the Premiership which Championship clubs could pay their wages? Most of them are deep in the red.
Yes, it reduces. And Bournemouth’s owner advanced them an enormous loan last season to cover the deficit from losing Premier League income. It’s expected they’ll have to sell players (most likely Danjuma) this year to balance the books. Wilshere and Begovic will be off the payroll too.
I reckon the reported losses have already taken care of that mate. Something about a £100m loan. £40m due last year. £26m due in 2024. doesn't mention in between. Not into accounting but makes unpleasant reading.
